“This is a world that is constantly evolving and they want more at these big clubs. There is a huge expectation and even if you do well you will still end up being compared to the top teams (Man City, Arsenal and Liverpool).
“We all sympathise with those who have lost their jobs and I’m sure Eric has given it his all. He had a great first season but was beset by problems in the second season.”
When ask about the Manchester United job, the Danish head coach replied: “It’s a sensitive question. I have a huge responsibility with Brentford, the fans, the players and the staff.”
“We will focus on Sheffield Wednesday in the next game. I am very happy here, one of the best clubs in the world, but what will happen in the future I do not know.”

Frank is one of the candidates to take over at Old Trafford after guiding Brentford to promotion to the Premier League, but he has refused to be drawn on the question.
The 51-year-old is the second-longest-serving manager in the Premier League behind Pep Guardiola at Manchester City and the Danish coach said he remains focused on Brentford ahead of Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash with Sheffield Wednesday.
